The University of the Philippines placed 69th among the top 634 higher educational institutions (HEIs) of Asia in the latest rankings released by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). The QS Asia University Rankings 2021 [https://www.topuniversities.com/university-rankings/asian-university-rankings/2021], where UP placed three ranks higher than in the previous year’s edition and emerged among the top 11 percent of Asian HEIs, was released today, November 25, 2020. The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Office of Gender Concerns (OGC) continues to advocate for a #VAWFreePH by joining this year’s International Day for the Elimination for Violence Against Women and Children and the National Consciousness Day for the Elimination of VAWC as declared through Republic Act 10398. The University of the Philippines (UP) retains its spot in a roster of the top 500 universities of the world. According to the 2021 Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE-WUR), UP remains in the 401-500 bracket, after being assessed alongside 1,527 research-intensive universities.
