The University of the Philippines (UP) retains its spot in a roster of the top 500 universities of the world. According to the 2021 Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE-WUR), UP remains in the 401-500 bracket, after being assessed alongside 1,527 research-intensive universities. To prepare the various sectors for the online mode of teaching and learning which will be the new normal when classes open for the next school year, the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) PLDT Infoteach Outreach Program  conducted a webinar series titled "Gearing up for the New Normal in Teaching and Learning.” The initial session was held on 28 July 2020 which  focused on the topic “Preparing your course for online delivery."
