The Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) at UP Open University (UPOU) and the UP Manila College of Nursing (UPCN) recently held a Final Workshop and Class Kick-Off for the Nursing Education (NE) Microcredentials on 21 June 2024 at UPCN. To support the mental well-being of the UPOU community, Ugnayan ng Pahinungód UPOU launched KaYa (Kalinga at Yakap) App last 29 April  2024. KaYa App is a mental health application that features free mental health-related webinars, stress management videos, creative space, and personal e-journals. The UP Open University, led by the Faculty of Information and Communication Studies (FICS) together with the Wellness and Healthy Lifestyle Committee (WHLC) and the Office of the Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration (OVCFA), held this year’s blood donation drive on 18 April 2024 at the UPOU Academic Residences, UPOU Headquarters, Los Baños, Laguna. A Decade of Giving Blood and Saving Lives: UPOU Holds 2022 Blood Donation Drive

As part of its public service tradition, the UP Open University (UPOU) holds annual blood donation drives. Now in its tenth year, the UPOU Blood Donation Drive was held on 6 April 2022 at the UPOU Community Hub in Los Baños, Laguna. This year, 60 blood bags were collected, surpassing the 2019 UPOU Blood Donation Drive’s total number of successful donors. Eighty (80) volunteers attended the drive with 20 deferrals due to low hemoglobin levels, hypertension, and other medical conditions.  The medical team advised proper hydration, consuming iron-rich foods and supplements, and making the necessary preparations before the blood donation [...]
