FICS Faculty Leads Artscience Speculative Design Workshop and Launches Art Installation in Italy

On 1 September  2024, Dr. Diego Maranan, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Information and Communication Studies (FICS) of the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), co-led a creative workshop that brought about the creation of a new version of Biomodd, an art installation that features interactive fusion of technology and nature. Barangay Digital Transformation Hub Continues Computer Distribution in Brgy. Cansuso, Cavinti, Laguna

The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS), in partnership with the Provincial Public Employment Services Office (PESO) Laguna and Concentrix Philippines, continued the distribution of donated computers as part of the Barangay Digital Transformation Hub. The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) has taken a significant step towards digitalizing Laguna's local communities. On August 22, 2024, the FMDS' Barangay Digital Transformation Hub Initiative, in partnership with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Laguna and Concentrix Philippines, began distributing donated computers to its partner barangays.
