On 10 June 2024, the University of the Philippines (UP) opened the Linggo ng Unibersidad with a synchronized flag-raising ceremony across all UP Constituent Units (CUs). While the main program was held at the Quezon Hall in UP Diliman, all eight UP CUs, including the UP Open University (UPOU), participated in the event via Zoom.
