To formalize the creation of the Consortium of Open and Distance Education Institutions in the Philippines, five state universities established partnerships for the said undertaking through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU). To raise awareness on and to help build a resilient community, the Ugnayan ng Pahinungód University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) spearheaded an orientation seminar on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM). Shrouded in the mists of antiquity and rich culture, the anciently beautiful city of Lahore, Pakistan was the venue of the recently concluded 33rd Annual Conference of the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU) on 14-16 October 2019. The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has granted funds for the conference fellowship of participants to the 6th National Conference on Open and Distance eLearning (NCODeL 2019). The CHED Conference Fellowship is open to academic staff members from recognized state university and college (SUC) or higher education institution (HEI) in the Philippines.
