The OPEN Talk Episode entitled “Para-Paraan Yan!” was held on 19 May 2021 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM via live streaming. This OPEN Talk episode featured another discussion on teaching reading during remote learning. The website of The Cordillera Review (TCR), the official research journal of the University of the Philippines Baguio (UPB), was launched in a virtual program held online, 17 May 2021. Published through the Cordillera Studies Center (CSC), the TCR is a multidisciplinary refereed journal dedicated to studies on Philippine culture and society, with emphasis on research pertaining to the Cordillera region and Northern Luzon, Philippines. Dubbed as Journal of Philippine Culture and Society, its first issue was released in March 2009 with Prof. Delfin Tolentino, Jr. as editor-in-chief. The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) participated in the  Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Congress 2021 on  28 to 29 April 2021 as one of the supporting partners. The theme of the congress was “Transforming Southeast Asian Education, Science and Culture in the Digital Age.” As supporting partner, Chancellor Melinda dela Peña Bandalaria served as one of the speakers in the congress. Earthdayinitiative.org, together with March for Science NYC, organized the grand Earth Day 2021 Virtual Stage and Festival to kick off the Earth Week 2021 which is celebrated every 22 April of each year.
