The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) participated in the Open University 5 (OU5) Research Forum and Meeting held from 24-26 April 2024, in the city of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Gathered in the elegant setting of the Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta, representatives consisting of university administrators and researchers from five open universities convened for research project presentations and presidents’ meetings. The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) and the Immersive Open Pedagogies (IOP) Program recently hosted a workshop titled “Immersive Learning Workshop for Faculty and Staff” on 12 April 2024, at Sandbox, CCDL Building, UP Open University, Los Baños, Laguna, Philippines. UPOU Collaborates with IFSU in Celebrating Philippine Heritage Month

In celebration of the Philippine Heritage Month 2022, the Ifugao State University (IFSU) in collaboration with the UP Open University (UPOU), and the Hungduan Municipality launched an exhibit and cultural showcase of indigenous houses, stories, and cuisines at the IFSU Hapao Campus on 26 May 2022. The exhibit, with the theme “Pangipaptok hi Nunhituwan: The Built Heritage of Hungduan,” featured five cultural showcases. It highlighted the Ifugao native house as the symbol of Ifugao culture, which may serve as a springboard for discussion of cultural narratives, thereby facilitating collaborations for the conservation and preservation of the Ifugao Rice Terraces landscape.
