UPOU Project Leaders Participate in EIDR Research Symposium

The Office of Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) organized an event held on 7 to 8 April 2022 for the Emerging Interdisciplinary Research Program (EIDR) Cycle 8 Project Leaders to showcase system funded research projects. UPOU Conducts Referendum for Student Constitution

The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) conducted a referendum for the ratification of the UPOU Student Constitution on 18 - 22 April 2022.  The voting period was  extended until 30 April 2022 upon the approval of the UP Student Regent to allow more students to participate.  Students voted through the newly established student affairs platform aptly called Tagpuan. The approval of the UPOU Student Constitution allows for its sanction and implementation, thereby ensuring genuine student representation and upholding the student's rights through the creation of the student council and various student organizations. MAN Lecturer gets the Best Oral Presenter Award at MDCON Research Congress

Ms. Ma. Elma L. Mirandilla, Lecturer of the  Faculty of Management and Development (FMDS) – Master of Arts in Nursing (MAN) Program, won the Best Oral Presenter at the 14th Manila Doctors College of Nursing Research Congress held last 11 May 2022. ColLaboratoire Fellows Present Research Outcomes

On 22 April 2022,  the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) ColLaboratoire Fellows presented the outcome of the research projects in a webinar titled “Radical Pluridisciplinarity for Sustainable Development: Outcomes from the ColLaboratoire 2020.” These outcomes are the result of a week-long research residency on Cognitive Innovation for Sustainable Development dubbed ColLaboratoire. UPOU Recognized by UPAA

The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) was recognized by the University of the Philippines Alumni Association (UPAA) with the 2020 Most Distinguished Alumni Award as  UP Health Frontliners during the Conferral of the Award and Dinner for the 2021 UPAA Awardees held on 19 May 2022.  Dr. Melinda dela Peña Bandalaria, Chancellor of the University of the Philippines Open University, accepted the plaque and statuette for the university.  This award was given to UP health frontliners around the world who exhibited patriotic dedication and professional competence during the COVID-19 crisis.
