The faculty and staff of the Faculty of Information and Communication Studies (FICS), University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) successfully held their strategic planning meeting from 23-24 September 2024 at the Ace Hotel, Pasig City. They convened to welcome new faculty members, discuss urgent issues, and prepare for leadership changes. The meeting also aimed to strengthen the camaraderie among faculty and staff. Mike Clester Perez, a Product Quality Engineer based in Greater Manchester, United Kingdom, is an alumnus of the Diploma in Research and Development Management (DRDM) and Master of Research and Development Management (MRDM). In preparation for the upcoming implementation of the UP System’s new finance and HR systems, selected UP Open University (UPOU) employees undergo a one-day orientation organized by the UPS Roll-out Team for UPOU. This was held on 25 September 2024 at the UPOU Academic Residences Cafeteria, UPOU Headquarters, Los Baños, Laguna. The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Library conducted an orientation for students about library resources titled “From Draft to Submission: Integrating Library Resource for Comprehensive Research and Writing Success” on 20 September 2024.
