The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Office of Gender Concerns (OGC) conducted a webinar titled Agenda ng Kababaihan, Tungo sa Kaunlaran: Filipino Women Overseas Workers in France Women's Forum on 7 April 2022.   The event was organized in coordination with the Social Work and Women Development academic programs of the UPOU Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS).  It aimed to have a women’s forum that endeavors to bring women and girls towards a collective agenda of empowerment and equality. UPOU hosts Climate Justice Teach-in Webinar

The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), in collaboration with the Worldwide Teach-in (WWTI) Philippines and Bard Graduate Programs in Sustainability, conducted the Climate Justice Teach-in Webinar titled #MakeClimateAConversation on 2 April 2022.   Ms. Faith Caubang, a  UPOU Bachelor of Education Studies (BES) student and Team Leader of WWTI Philippines, and Mr. Karl Alex Laurito, a member of the WWTI Philippines, served as the hosts.  Dr. Joane V. Kwentong OU Digital Video and Multimedia Festival

The UPOU Multimedia Center organized the Kwentong OU Digital Video and Multimedia Festival and Competition. This was launched in November 2019 as one of the activities for UPOU's 25th Anniversary Celebration in 2020. The members of the UPOU Community  university, particularly students, and alumni were encouraged to share their Kwentong OU through videos. On  30 April 2022, after several postponements because of the pandemic, the awarding ceremony for the festival and competition was aired via UPOU Networks' FB page. A Decade of Giving Blood and Saving Lives: UPOU Holds 2022 Blood Donation Drive

As part of its public service tradition, the UP Open University (UPOU) holds annual blood donation drives. Now in its tenth year, the UPOU Blood Donation Drive was held on 6 April 2022 at the UPOU Community Hub in Los Baños, Laguna. This year, 60 blood bags were collected, surpassing the 2019 UPOU Blood Donation Drive’s total number of successful donors. Eighty (80) volunteers attended the drive with 20 deferrals due to low hemoglobin levels, hypertension, and other medical conditions.  The medical team advised proper hydration, consuming iron-rich foods and supplements, and making the necessary preparations before the blood donation [...]

The Ugnayan ng Pahinungod University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) conducted a webinar-workshop on Gratitude Art Journaling last 31 March 2022.  Ms. Jestine Crhistia V.
