FMDS-UPOU Faculty Members Publish Journal Article on Environmental Empathy

Dr. Joane V. Serrano, Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS), University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), and Dr. John Martin, UPOU Visiting Professor from the University of Plymouth, United Kingdom published a journal article titled, “An Exploration of the Contribution of Embodied, Situated Research Strategies to Cultural Ecosystem Services and Landscape Assessment Frameworks: An Environmental Empathy Case Study.” The article was co-authored with Dr. Klara Łucznik, a ColLaboratoire 2020 mentor from the University of Plymouth, and was published on 23 May 2022 in Avant  — an open access and peer-reviewed journal on interdisciplinary studies. Dr. Bandalaria Joins ICDE GAC Working Groups Kick-off Meeting

University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Chancellor, Dr. Melinda dela Peña Bandalaria joins the kick-off meeting of the International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE) Global Advocacy Campaign (GAC) for Open, Flexible and Distance Learning (OFDL) Working Groups. Ballesteros as the resource speaker. Join us and volunteer as Gurong Pahinungód! The Gurong Pahinungód Program mobilizes a select group of UP graduates called Gurong Pahinungod (GP) to teach in public schools in underserved communities for one year. From 1998 to 2008, the program has deployed 405 UP graduates as volunteer teachers to 160 public schools nationwide. See poster for more information.
