University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Chancellor, Dr. Melinda dela Peña Bandalaria joins the kick-off meeting of the International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE) Global Advocacy Campaign (GAC) for Open, Flexible and Distance Learning (OFDL) Working Groups. Dr. Bandalaria co-chairs the ICDE GAC Asia Task Force with Prof. Dato Dr. Ansary Ahmed, Founder President of the Asia e University (AeU).  The kick-off meeting was held online, via Zoom,  on 27 June 2022. UPOU EIDR-RLE Team Visits Cardinal Santos Medical Center

On 28 June  2022, the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) team of the Emerging Interdisciplinary Research (EIDR) project titled “Development of a Web-Based Related Learning Experience (RLE) Design as a Resource Activity Material” conducted an ocular visit to Cardinal Santos Medical Center. The project aims to create a virtual simulation by recording a 360-degree view of different clinical setups, simulations, and results based on selected case studies. FED Congratulates Fifteen LEPT Passers from UPOU

A total of fifteen University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) students have passed the two batches of the 2022 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) for the secondary level. The examinations were held on 30 January 2022 and 27 March 2022. Of the fifteen, two are graduates of the Bachelor of Education Studies (BES) program, twelve are completers of the Professional Teaching Certificate (PTC) program, and one is a graduate of the Doctor of Philosophy in Education program.
