FMDS-UPOU has two new projects under the International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI)

Two new UP Open University (UPOU) projects submitted to the International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI) were approved for implementation. The UPOU, through the Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS), has been a member of IPSI since 2012. For the Satoyama Development Mechanism (SDM) 2017 Project, 23 applications were submitted to the SDM Secretariat and only six applications were selected that were deemed most promising for the implementation and promotion of the concept of the Satoyama Initiative. UPOU Professor and UP Faculty Regent presents Teacher Professional Development Models in USA and Cyprus

University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Professor and UP Faculty Regent Dr. Patricia B. Arinto travelled to the United States of America and the Republic of Cyprus to present the outcomes of the "Technology-Supported Teacher Professional Development on Early Language, Literacy and Numeracy (ELLN) for K-3 Teachers" (ELLN Digital) project, which her team piloted with 4,020 K-3 teachers in 240 public elementary schools in the Philippines in SY2016-2017.
