UPOU establishes own Pahinungód Office
The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) further enhances its public service undertakings through the establishment of its own Ugnayan ng Pahinungód Office on 6 June 2019. This effort is also in response to the University of the Philippines (UP) System’s move to revert the System Pahinungod Coordinating Committee (SPCC) to the former UP System Office of Ugnayan ng Pahinungod/Oblation Corps (System UP/OC) at the same time to revitalize UP/OCs in all constituent UP universities. UPOU wins Gold for Community Outreach in eLearning Forum Asia 2019
The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) was recognized for its unwavering passion and dedication to community-based extension work during the recently concluded eLearning Forum Asia (eLFAsia) 2019. The event, which was held on 29-31 May 2019 at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand, served as a venue to advance knowledge of the use of information technology in teaching and learning in the Asian educational community. Call for applications to the UP Presidential Scholarship Grant
The UP Open University is now accepting applicants for the UP Presidential Scholarship Grant effective 1st Trimester AY2019-2020. Only one slot is available. Undergraduate students (except freshmen) with a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 1.75 are eligible to apply for this grant. OVCAA conducts Workshops to Review Academic Policies and Procedures
The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, through its Academic Program Improvement (API) 2019 Project entitled "Towards Developing a System for Sustained Academic Excellence," organized two workshops to review and harmonize the Academic Policies and Procedures (APP) implemented in UPOU.
