ASEAN Youth Volunteer Programme 2021 Pushes through with Online Trainings

Although physical travel across states and physical activities involving international delegations have been restricted by the pandemic, people and institutions worldwide have developed a greater capacity to utilize communications technology to overcome this obstacle. With the theme of “Strengthening the ASEAN Education Delivery Systems in Challenging Times”, the 2021 ASEAN Youth Volunteer Programme (AYVP) officially began last August 30 using Zoom, social media apps, and online platforms provided by the University of the Philippines (UP). UPOU Conducts Second Run of Introductory Course on Contact Center Services

The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Ugnayan ng Pahinungod and Concentrix Philippines conducted the second run of the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) in Introductory Course on Contact Center Services. The course ran from 12 June until 12 July 2021.  The free online course focused on developing effective online communication skills that will provide competitive skills and knowledge for ICT-enabled and contact services-related jobs. The University of the Philippines Open University Institutional Research Ethics Committee (UPOU IREC)  in collaboration with the Philippine Health Research Ethics Board (PHREB) held the Online Basic Research Ethics Training (BRET) last 31 August to 1 September 2021 via Zoom.  The UPOU IREC serves as the body that implements the university policy of overseeing the ethical soundness of the institutional research produced, including any research conducted by faculty members, students, REPS, and staff. Sandigan, Sandalan: The Search for UP Student Mental Health Advocacy Projects

UP OVPAA-OSFA launched the search for Student Mental Health Advocacy Projects led by student organization and groups. In UPOU, Student Groups may be a batch, class or any cohort of UPOU students enrolled in AY 2020-2021. Interested student groups must accomplish this form and must submit the original entry certificate that will conform to the following guidelines. The deadline for the submission of entries is extended till 5 September 2021.
