On 12 April 2018, UP Open University (UPOU) Chancellor Melinda dela Pena Bandalaria gave a talk on “Social Media Marketing for Development” during the three-day seminar-workshop on News Writing and Social Media Marketing hosted by the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) held at Hotel Veniz, Baguio City.
The three-day seminar-workshop, conducted on 10-12 April, consisted of various talks and activities for the members of PGLU Governor’s Press Corps. Resource persons discussed topics ranging from Development Communication to assessment of writing outputs, and facilitated workshops on their respective topics.
Other speakers were Mr. Mark Latoja (Retail Manager, Globe Telecom), Mr. Adamor Dagang (Provincial Information and Tourism Officer and Vice Chairman and Action Officer of the Governor’s Press Corps), Dr. Cecilia Fe Abalos (Associate Professor of Speech Communication, UP Baguio), and Mr. Jason Paolo Telles (Instructor in Broadcast Communication, University of the Philippines).
