The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Office of Public Affairs (OPA) in collaboration with the UPOU Alumni Foundation Inc.(UPOUAFI) will be holding the first ever UPOU Alumni Congress 2021 on   30-31 July 2021. The Alumni Congress will feature various alumni chapter activities and workshops specifically designed for the alumni of each of the three Faculty Offices of UPOU. 

FE(e)d Your Mind: A UPOU FEd Alumni Kapihan at Talakayan” will be  organized by the UPOUAFI – Faculty of Education (FEd) Chapter Officers for the  graduates of programs under the UPOU FEd .  This round table discussion aims to encourage participating alumni to share their insights on online learning before the pandemic and the “new normal” of education. This will be held on 30 July 2021 at 1:30 PM (Philippine Standard Time).

The  UPOUAFI – Faculty of Information and Communication Studies (FICS) Chapter Officers will organize the “ISTORYA: Mga Makabuluhang Kwento ng mga Isko at Iska” intended for UPOU FICS alumni. To be launched on 31 July 2021 at 9:00 AM (Philippine Standard Time), “ISTORYA: Mga Makabuluhang Kwento ng mga Isko at Iska” is an ongoing vlog project that aims in promoting sustainability and agility despite disruption.

The UPOUAFI- Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) Chapter Officers  will organize a workshop entitled “Mission BakuNation” for the UPOU FMDS alumni on 31 July 2021 at 1:30 PM (Philippine Standard Time). This activity will focus on the health of the people by highlighting the need for vaccines, the role of the environment and how to take care of it.

Today@UPOU: As part of the Zero Waste Month Culminating Activities, the UPOU Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) conducted an orientation on waste collection and characterization strategy facilitated by aProf. Remsce A. Pasahol, UPOU Disaster Risk Reduction - Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (DRR-CCAM) Member and Solid Waste Management (SWM) Committees, and Program Chair of the Diploma in Land Use Planning (DLUP) program.
