UP Manila and UP Open University Hold Orientation for Prospective Master in Nursing Education Students

The University of the Philippines Manila College of Nursing (UPM CN), and the University of the Philippines Open University Faculty of Management and Development Studies (UPOU FMDS), successfully conducted an online orientation for prospective students of the Master in Nursing Education (MNE) program on 16 August 2024.

The virtual orientation headed by Asst. Prof. Arnold B. Peralta, aimed to inform prospective students about the program, including its curriculum, delivery mode, and admission requirements. The session also served as a platform for participants to clarify their queries and concerns regarding scheduling, enrollment procedures, and tuition fees.

The event was attended by more than 50 interested nurses from the academe, research, and clinical areas across different regions of the Philippines. Some participants are also students who are currently working and residing abroad.

Key topics discussed during the orientation included an overview of the MNE program and its learning objectives, collaboration between UPM CN and UPOU FMDS in delivering the program, enrollment process and requirements, curriculum and course structure, and financial assistance and scholarship opportunities from the Commision on Higher Education (CHED) through microcredentials.
