Submission for abstracts for the 7th National Conference on Open and Distance e-Learning (NCODeL 2022) is still open until 7 September 2022. 

Abstracts (maximum of 350 words) for paper and poster presentations should be research-based and relevant to the conference theme “Reimagining Education Futures” with any of the following sub-themes:

  • Flexible models in education
    • Remote teaching and learning
    • Blended hybrid learning
  • Innovating technologies in eLearning
    • Immersive learning and the metaverse
    • Artificial intelligence in eLearning
    • eLearning models and tools in health education
  • Flexible learning pathways for lifelong learning
    • Accessible education for sustainable development
    • Equity, diversity and inclusion in education
    • Gender consideration in online learning
  • Open educational resources
  • Ensuring quality in online and distance learning
  • Reskilling and upskilling the workforce in a shifting work environment
    • Microcredentials
    • Telecommuting
    • Education for agile work environments
  • Wellness and mental health in virtual learning environments
  • Foresight and strategic governance in education

Interested individuals are required to submit their abstracts via EasyChair. To submit, log in with an existing EasyChair account or register for a new account. 

In addition to the regular conference track, graduate students who wish to present their research as part of their graduate studies are also invited to the graduate student colloquium track. Interested graduate students should indicate this track when they submit their abstracts. 

Notification of the results of the review of abstract is on 21 September 2022. Full papers of accepted abstracts shall be submitted on or before 5 October 2022

All presentations will be delivered online. Paper presenters are required to submit video recordings or  slide presentations with recorded narration before the conference. Asynchronous and synchronous interactions between the presenters and the participants will take place in a designated online platform.

Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their contributions to the International Journal on Open and Distance e-Learning. 

NCODeL 2022, which will be held virtually on 23-25 November 2022, is organized by UP Open University (UPOU), Philippine Society for Distance Learning (PSDL), and the UPOU Foundation, Inc. (UPOUFI). NCODeL is a biennial forum which serves as a venue for the administrators, teachers, scholars, practitioners and policymakers in the Philippines to share their experiences and learn from each other as they explore spaces and opportunities for development in open, distance, and e-learning for development.
