The program’s goal is to create more inclusive, engaging, and effective immersive educational environments that can adapt to diverse learning needs and contexts.

In his discussion, Dr. Figueroa illustrated how UPOU implements these concepts through the IOP program. This program encompasses a range of projects aimed at integrating virtual and augmented reality, gamification, and other cutting-edge educational technologies into the learning process. These initiatives are aligned with the broader educational objectives of promoting accessibility, equity, and quality in education.

The event was attended by other professors, researchers, and students from the college, all of whom expressed interest in the potential of these pedagogical advancements for innovative education. The interactive session that followed Dr. Figueroa’s lecture provided a platform for rich discussions and the exchange of ideas, underscoring the collaborative mindset necessary for the continuous evolution of educational practices.
