The first session is aimed at fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and experimentation, as well as generating new ideas, insights, and solutions that address emerging issues related to sustainability in education. It was facilitated by Dr. Diego S. Maranan, Dean of the UPOU Faculty of Information and Communication Studies. According to him, it was a very intimate and time-restricted session, and the participants seemed to have an exceedingly positive experience.

The second unconference session, on the other hand, was aimed at sharing walking methodologies that can be used in place-based and experiential learning toward sustainability in education. The sessions are designed and sponsored by the One by Walking Network, a network of researchers from all over the globe whose main thrust is collaboration, discussion, and experimentation within the area of research methodologies concerned with walking and experimental scientific and art-based work related to walking methodologies. Dr. Joane V. Serrano, Dean of the UPOU Faculty of Management and Development Studies, was the session facilitator.
