The UP Board of Regents (BOR) is now inviting nominations for the UP President who will succeed the incumbent whose term will end on 9 February 2017. At its 1319th BOR meeting on 28 July 2016, the Board constituted itself as the Search Committee for the next UP President. Maranan served as one of the lecturers in Quake Quest, a scientific research competition for senior high school students hosted by the UP Resilience Institute (UPRI) and the UP Intelligent Systems Center, completed its four-day Major Quest 0: Crash Course Series on Sept. 28 at the Computational Science and Research Center (CSRC), UP Diliman.
