Three of the UP Open University officials joined the Civil Service Commission 2024 Leaders and HR Symposium (LHRS) as concurrent speakers. The UP Open University (UPOU) welcomed new students for the Academic Year 2024-2025 in a hybrid orientation held online and at its headquarters in Los Baños, Laguna, on 14 September 2024. Just the end of August 2024, the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) through its Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (OVCAA), released the newest of its publications. FMDS Welcomes New Students for AY 2024-2025 with Hybrid Orientation

The Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) of the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) welcomed new students through a Hybrid Student Orientation for the First Semester/Trimester AY 2024-2025. Held on 14 September 2024 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, the orientation took place onsite at the Centennial Center for Digital Learning (CCDL) Auditorium, UPOU Headquarters, Los Baños, Laguna, and via Zoom. In celebration of the UP Day of Remembrance on 21 September 2024, the University of the Philippines Open University will be releasing three new open educational resources (OERs) as part of the FastLearn episodes created by the UPOU Center for Open and Digital Teaching and Learning (CODTL). FASTLearn or Flexible and Accelerated Short Micro-Videos for Teaching and Learning is a program in UPOU Networks that features reels-like videos of learning objects. The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) hosted an online benchmarking activity for  Cavite State University (CVSU) on 04 September 2024. The activity aims to promote knowledge sharing and cooperation between the two institutions.
