The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) participated in the 3rd UP External QA Reviewers Training, organized by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA). The training, held from 25 to 29 November 2024 at ibis Styles Manila Araneta City and UP Diliman, aimed to enhance the expertise of UP faculty members in conducting external quality assurance (EQA) reviews for academic programs. UPOU-FMDS Faculty Members Conduct Specialized Training for BFAR FishCoRe Project

The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Faculty of Management and Development Studies delivered two training courses for the Philippine Fisheries and Coastal Resiliency (FishCoRe) Project. FishCoRe is a seven-year initiative that adopts a comprehensive approach to fishery governance, supporting the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Regional Office 4-A in November 2024. The UPOU Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) in commemoration of its 20th anniversary organized a tree-planting activity last 5 December 2024 that underscored the Faculty’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. The tree-planting activity is one part of the three-part program for the Faculty’s 20th anniversary celebration.
