In observance of the 2022 World Social Work Day and National Women’s Month, the Diploma in/Master of Social Work and Diploma in Women and Development programs of the Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS) in cooperation with the Office of Gender Concerns (OGC), UP Open University will bring you a Let’s Talk it Over (LTiO) webinar titled “Women in Emerging Realities and Crucial Times” on March 23, 2022 (Wednesday), 10:00 AM and will be made available via web streaming.

This webinar will highlight the contribution of women to address present pressing conditions in pursuit of claiming and asserting women’s rights to participate in education, society, economy, and politics.

In a release by the Presidential Communications Office dated August 8, 2024 President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. named Dr. Carmencita David Padilla (BS Pre-medicine, 1976; MD, 1981; MAHPS, 2005) and Dr. Romulo Gelbolingo Davide (BSA, 1957) the country’s newest National Scientists.
