We are cordially inviting you to the upcoming UPOU Faculty of Management and Development Studies’ (FMDS) hybrid seminar entitled “Indulge Smartly: Navigating a Nutritious Christmas Break Diet and Effective Weight Management” in collaboration with the UPOU Health and Wellness Committee on 12 December 2023, 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm via Zoom.This event is under our Faculty’s Let’s Talk It Over (LTIO) series, an initiative that is part of the intersection of our instruction, research, and public service thrust which is geared towards community inclusivity, digital transformation, and acceleration towards sustainability.
This month’s LTIO Series will cover the SDG 3 on Good Health and Wellbeing. The holiday season, particularly the Christmas break, is often associated with indulgence and festive feasting. While it’s a time to celebrate and enjoy delicious treats, it’s essential to approach the holiday diet with mindfulness and a focus on nutrition. The onsite fellowship was attended by the UPOU Faculty and Staff. Dr. Maria Lourdes Jarabe, the newly appointed Director of the UPOU OGC, delivered the opening remarks. Dr. Joane Serrano, UPOU Chancellor, and Dr. Finaflor Taylan, former Director of the UPOU OGC and newly appointed UPOU Dean of the Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS), also shared their messages of empowerment. They emphasized that the celebration serves as a reminder of the ongoing importance of advocating for women’s rights and empowerment.![]()
