ICDE is proud to present another panel discussion at the ICDE Virtual Global Conference Week 2021!
On Thursday 28 October at 10:00 CEST, the Consortium for Benchmarking Framework for Online, Open, Smart, and Technology-Enhanced Higher Education is hosting a panel discussion on “Upscaling quality assurance systems through benchmarking online and open higher education institutions”
This panel will discuss the developed quality assurance framework, present results of its pilot implementation and identify the way forward, as well as examining opportunities and challenges on the way to establishing and upscaling robust quality assurance systems and mechanisms for benchmarking online higher education.

IN PHOTOS: The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) facilitated a consultation meeting with the National Institute for Technical Education and Skills Development - Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (NITESD-TESDA) on 18 October 2024, held both via Zoom and in person at the UPOU Headquarters in Los Baños, Laguna. The TESDA delegation, led by Dr. David Bungallon, Executive Director of NITESD, met with Dr. Melinda Bandalaria, UPOU Chancellor, and Dr. Myra Almodiel, Director of the UPOU Office of Public Affairs (OPA). During the meeting, the TESDA representatives sought insights on matters related to scholarships, program and system design for instruction in open and distance learning, and tools for determining optimal online class sizes.![]()
