UPS-OAR releases 4th issue of the UP Carillon Magazine

The University of the Philippines System – Office of Alumni Relations (UPS – OAR) released the fourth issue of UP Carillon Magazine, the official publication of the University of the Philippines alumni.

The issue boasts of an Augmented Reality (AR)-ready front cover of the UP Manila’s Celebration of Life statue by National Artist Napoleon Abueva. With 2020 forever remembered as the Year of COVID-19, this year’s issue highlights UP Manila, with a Cover Story on the National Institutes of Health and a Spotlight article on the UP Philippine General Hospital (PGH).

It also includes stories about alumni in the Philippines and abroad in the different disciplines: Arts, Science, and Sports including the much-awaited Social Sciences Section.

This issue also features the comeback of Special Sections  such as POP-UP or Pop Culture in UP and Hindsight. Regular sections like In Memoriam, Accolades, and Topnotchers List are still part of the issue to recognize our supportive and outstanding alumni. A short read about UP Open University’s Virtual Sunduan is available on page 50 which talks about UPOU’s welcome to new students for AY 2020-2021 through an orientation, virtual tour, and the “ceremonial sunduan.”
