The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) continues with its bi-monthly episode of the “Edu-Hack: Navigating a Turbulent Educational Landscape.” The first episode for August will tackle “K-12 Blended Learning Interactions: What’s Working? How and Why?” Teachers and school administrators of K-12 educational institutions are expected to benefit from this event. 

The episode is a fusion of the Edu-Hack podcast and EDUKussion, a flagship program by the UPOU Faculty of Education (FEd) aimed at presenting and discussing education-related issues, challenges and opportunities. Assistant Professor J. Aleta R. Villanueva, Faculty member of FEd will be the resource person for this session, with Asst. Prof. Maria Rowena D.R. Raymundo, Program Chair of the UPOU Master of Distance Education program, as the moderator. 

The ninth episode of the Edu-Hack podcast will be held on 4 August 2020, 10:00 AM over UPOU’s online repository of open educational resources, UPOU Networks. The episode will also be streamed live via the UPOU Youtube Channel and UPOU Networks Facebook page. Registration is free for  an unlimited number of participants via https://networks.upou.edu.ph/podcast/

Edu-Hack is UPOU’s effort to discuss how Philippine universities are responding and adapting to disruptions in higher education brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. Edu-Hack is also part of the #OPENFight program, UPOU’s banner program for all efforts towards coping and managing resources amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
