Fourth Episode of Edu-Hack Podcast to tackle the Transition to Remote Teaching and Learning

Another Edu-Hack podcast series is scheduled on 16 June 2020. This time, the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) will tackle “Strategic Transitioning to Remote Teaching and Learning (RTL). ”

The topic will focus on discussing how educational institutions can strategically transition to RTL, the possible challenges that institutions may face during the transition period, and provide practical recommendations that schools and universities may consider to help teachers and administrators with the shift to RTL.

Three of UPOU’s top experts in Open and Distance eLearning (ODeL) will serve as panelists for the event. These are Dr. Melinda dela Pena Bandalaria, the UPOU Chancellor;  Dr. Melinda F. Lumanta, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs; and Dr. Primo G. Garcia, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Development Studies.  Dr. Joane V. Serrano, Director of the newly renamed UPOU Office of Public Affairs, will serve as the moderator.

Similar to all other sessions of the series, this episode of “Edu-Hack: Navigating through a Turbulent Educational Landscape” is accessible to unlimited numbers of public through the UPOU Networks (https://networks.upou.edu.ph/). This episode will be a 90-minute broadcast that will start at 9:00 AM.

Edu-Hack is UPOU’s effort to discuss how Philippine universities are responding and adapting to disruptions in higher education brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. Edu-Hack is also part of the #OPENFight program, UPOU’s banner program for all efforts towards coping and managing resources amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
