A free eye checkup was organized by the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Office of the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration (OVCFA) through the Human Resources Development Office (HRDO). This was arranged in cooperation with Soltura Optical Clinic and was held on 20 February 2019 at the UPOU Oblation Hall in Los Banos, Laguna.

UPOU employes, Student Assistants and even students who are on-the-job trainees with UPOU availed of the free service.

The free eye checkup was organized as part of the university’s aim to ensure the health and wellness of its employees. Anchored under the flagship program TAYO, which stands for Team Approach Youthful Outlook, UPOU targets the overall wellness of its constituents through different initiatives that promote the employees physical, mental and social health.
