For AY 2023-2024, the SLAS Online will support applications to the following learning assistance programs:
 Grants-in-Aid Program (GIAP) Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) Donor-funded Scholarship ProgramsFor more information on these programs, visit https://slasonline.up.
NOTE:
Incoming freshmen are to apply on the next round of SLAS applications. The schedule for the 2nd batch will be announced soon.
While waiting for the processing of your SLAS applications, students are strongly recommended to opt for a 100% Tuition Fee Loan in order to be formally registered for the First Semester of the Academic Year 2023–2024.
Once tuition discount is approved, kindly request for a refund in your respective University Registrars. Don’t forget to indicate that you have a pending SLAS appeal as you provide an answer to the ‘Reason for Loan’ tab.

On November 22 and 29, 2024, the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) welcomed two batches of 203 fourth-year Computer Engineering students from Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU). As part of their educational field trip, these aspiring engineers were given the opportunity to broaden their horizons and gain valuable insights into the world of online education.![]()

Dr. Primo Garcia, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, welcomed the students of DHVSU and shared UPOU's values of providing accessible, quality education to all. Dr. Myra Almodiel, Director of the Office of Public Affairs (OPA), and her team conducted a comprehensive campus tour and orientation in collaboration with the Information and Communication Technology Development Office (ICTDO), Educational Media Production (EMP), and the UPOU Library. The students were introduced to UPOU's innovative learning modalities, modern facilities, virtual reality campus tour, and dedicated support services.![]()
