The UPOU Faculty of Education will be offering ECED 201 Foundations of Early Childhood Education this coming 1st Trimester AY2023-2024 (October 2023-January 2024). ECED 201 is a 3-unit stand-alone, non-degree course that aims to provide early childhood practitioners with a sound understanding of the historical and theoretical rationale for creating child-centered learning communities. It is offered to all interested applicants who have previously earned a bachelor’s degree.

The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) Quality Assurance Office (QAO) is currently hosting a two-day Echo Training on the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Programme Level Criteria. The program commenced today, August 15, 2024, in the CCDL Auditorium and will resume tomorrow, August 16, 2024. This intensive training, led by trained UPOU faculty members, aims to support the UPOU faculty and Self-Assessment Report (SAR) Writing Teams in developing their program's SAR through a comprehensive discussion of the AUN-QA Programme Level Assessment in the context of UPOU as an open and distance e-learning institution. ![]()
